Top wall oven picks for convenient cooking

No, wall ovens can vary in size, though the most common variations are 30” and 27” widths. It’s very important when buying a new wall oven to measure the cutout space for your wall oven to ensure it’s going to fit

When it comes to wall ovens, there are single wall ovens and double wall ovens. There are also Combination wall ovens, which combine a single wall oven with a microwave speed oven. Finally, you can also find steam ovens, microwave drawers, single speed ovens and warming drawers available.

Not at all. Double and combination wall ovens will require more power than single. Be sure to consult the electrical tag on the appliance to ensure that you have the proper power supply for the unit

A speed oven is a microwave that combines traditional microwave cooking with a magnetron and convection and broil elements. While you can use it as a regular microwave, the possibilities are so much more. You can bake, roast and broil directly in the microwave cavity. You can also combine both methods to achieve fast cooking with oven results.

Wall ovens will almost always be hardwired. Some expectations are built-in microwaves or countertops microwaves built-into cabinets with a trim kit.

A standard installation will have the wall oven protrude a bit from the cutout. The control panel and door of the unit will be separate from the cabinetry. A standard installation is most common and generally considered “easier” to install.

A flush installation will have all of these components sit flush with the surrounding cabinetry. This type of installation provides a seamless integration intot he kitchen, but does require a much more precise installation.

Thanks to our FIT installation system, wall ovens come with adjustable feet to fit into a variety of cutout heights, making replacement of older wall ovens much easier. The FIT feet can be removed, installed flat or installed tall to fit multiple cutout heights.

Yes this is perfectly normal. This clicking sound is the control panel of the appliance cycling the bake and broil elements to maintain the oven temperature. If the clicking seems too loud or excessive, consult a service technician.

Convection cooking introduces a fan to circulate hot air around the oven for more even baking and roasting. Using convection cooking settings will often require you to adjust the temperature of your oven down by about 25F or adjust the cook time down since the oven will experience more even heating.

True Convection (sometimes called European Convection) still uses a fan to circulate air but also adds a third, circular element around the convection fan to increase heat circulation and cooking evenness even more.

Some ovens are equipped with self cleaning options while others aren’t. Ovens not equipped with any self cleaning cycle will require manual cleaning.

Ovens equipped with a pyrolytic (or high heat) self cleaning use super high oven temperatures to burn oven soils to ash. These cycles will generally take 4-6 hours to complete and will generate a lot of smoke/odors. Ensure your kitchen is properly ventilated and beware that pyrolytic self-cleaning cycles are dangerous for small pets such as birds and for people with breathing problems.

The other self-cleaning option is Aqualift steam clean which uses gentler heat to create steam and clean the oven in about 40 minutes. This cycle is meant to be used immediately after a spill in the oven to work as intended.
