At 14 months post-purchase, the fridge and freezer completely stopped working, causing us to lose hundreds in groceries and wreck our flooring from the ice thawing out and melting. The part wasn’t covered because we were 2 months past the one-year warranty. If I wanted to spend $3000+ on a fridge (purchase price + $650 to fix the main control panel) I would have purchased something much higher quality. Not impressed. The repair company contracted through Whirlpool made the entire experience 100 times worse and I felt completely uncomfortable with the service man and the way he spoke to me in my home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by plumb from Non-protective black finish Review based on the black finish. This refrigerator arrived with scrapes and scratches that went through the protective plastic shrink wrap. The only solution, according to Whirlpool, is to replace the door that was scratched in several places; after waiting 4 months to receive the fridge, the door would likely be delayed longer. When the skin of a finger is able to create a scratch there is something wrong with that black finish. Very dissatisfied.
