The concept behind having a single machine to wash and dryer appealed to us as part of a home reno that we recently completed where laundry space became limited. Add that we have/had whirlpool appliances and this purchase was an easy one. That's where the easy ended. This machine does not dry properly after taking four hours to wash and "dry" one small load. Forget washing sheets or towels. As well, it is a pain to clean out the bottom filter as even following the instructions you will have water all over the floor. We now only use this appliance's quick wash function on sunny days when we can dry the load on the clothesline which should be fun come winter as we are in Northern Canada.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dora from Lint is horrible. The machine functions as it should. Cycle buttons and so forth are easy to use. The only negative I have is the collection of lint in the drum and surrounding boot is insane. I have tried the Affresh tablets to clean it, but does not do a very good job. I also have the wipes and it is a very time consuming cleaning process, which if I had of known at the time of purchase I would not have bought this machine. You claimed the lint would go down the drain with the drain cycle, but it is far from that. Cleaning the pump filter is a pain also. Perhaps there should have been or this machine should come equipped with a lint screen like other all in one combos.

The dryer actually vents through the front draw and is NOT a condensing unit. The closet is running with condensation on the walls, it pumps out so much humidity. Very disappointing. What a dishonest and incorrect description for this washer/dryer. Criminal really.
