Popcorn Preset

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2025 from Poor design designed by person who doesn’t use one I am shocked with this being a newer model that it is only 900 watts, fan is only 300 CFM, fan position is not doing its job as the steam is going up the outside front of the microwave one fan on each side of the stove burners makes more sense, the preset buttons are annoying to work, no presets for breakfast options, no manual included and what is online is for installation only, the inside being dark is not appealing, the clock being in blue is totally unreadable unless you are close enough you can see without the glare interfering. The filter BEHIND the fan is in an awkward place for replacement. I would not recommend this model of microwave.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lous from Disappointed I’m disappointed in the dark colour of the inside and the dim light inside. Also the light under the microwave is at the back of the stove and is a dim halogen bulb. I tried to find led bulbs but no luck. This is my second Whirlpool under counter mount microwave. My first one lasted 26 yrs and I loved it. It had white interior and the lights were positioned at the front where you needed them to light up stove top. They were also bulbs that I could change out for led bulbs. I do like the features like soften butter and melt butter. Also it’s easy to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by blah from Hard to read panel Although our new microwave is working very good and has many positive features, we are very unhappy with the panel on the microwave. It is dim and hard to read, especially in the early morning or an overcast day. During the day we have to go very close to it to see anything. We have to use a flashlight to make out the numbers and letters. The store we bought the microwave from accommadatingly sent a service person to see if they could help or if there was a film over the panel that needed to be removed, but he couldn't find anything to fix the darkness of the panel. This issue has overshadowed our enjoyment of the new microwave. All our appliances are Whirlpool, and have been over the last 7 years, but this one has really dissappointed us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimi from Replaced my 7 year old Whirlpool microwave. I bought this in Apr 2025 to replace my old Whirlpool microwave of 7 years. Door switch problem. This new one is a lower priced Whirlpool but honestly the features on it are great. This new one fits the old mounting hardware above the stove perfectly. No surprises with Whirlpool. They work. The interior light is dim. The spin plate is smaller than my old one but basically I find Whirlpool microwaves are good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by *CLP from Happy Enough Happy enough with the microwave. Not really a fan of the black interior. It makes the inside dark. The inside light could be brighter. It does hide splatter stains better than white. But is dirt ok if you don't see it. (lol) I tend to use the same basic functions so not interested in any bells and whistles. It matched my Whirlpool refrigerator and the price was competitive to other brands.
