Long time to heat on convection over 350 degrees but acceptable as a second source to either my toaster over or oven. I really like the electronic touch pad. I have it connected to the internet and can perform a number of functions with my phone. It does reboot randomly from time to time but does recover without intervention.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JBJB from Terrible Service / Product Terrible Service / Product DO NOT BUT THEIR PRODUCT, THEY DO NOW OWN UP TO THEIR PROBLEMS. Touch screen issue, just like everyone else here, I left a review about it and they asked me to contact them so they could help. Well, they just ask people to contact them by leaving comment/reply to negative reviews so that people can see and might believe that Whirlpool is trying. But no, after 11 days of back and forth emailing asking questions, they told me it's out of warranty, pay $150 to fix, EXACT same response I already had when I wrote the first review. So 11 days of wasting time just to get same message.

Rated 1 out of 5 by James from Buyer beware: Immediate problems, still not fixed Right from installation, unit resets at random or locks up requiring a power reset to restore operation. Diagnosed as a front door problem, 1st replacement door powered up ok but did not fit mechanically. Was determined the hinge pin assembly was mis-manufactured. Second replacement door was dead on arrival. Third replacement door was dead on arrival. Whirlpool is now guessing that newer doors are now incompatible with older (less than 1 year old) main electronics board. Now waiting for a replacement control board but apparently they can't tell the difference between and old style board or a new style board. In fact they can't even tell if there is any difference between control boards. Completely guessing and essentially blaming the problem on the fact they can't even track product configuration or parts compatibility, which wouldn't be a problem if it worked correctly in the first place. I asked for a replacement microwave so we'd know all the parts are tested together to assure compatibility, but no they will continue to replace parts in the hope that it will eventually work. My last Whirlpool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from the left coast from Buy Scheiss, Buy Twice My sister purchased this microwave for me for a significant birthday. I've had it for exactly 3 years. The microwave has stopped working, though convection works fine. There is a communications problem between the panel and the motherboard. The cost to repair is the cost of a very expensive new microwave (in excess of $1K just for parts, plus almost $200 for that news. I treat my appliances with respect. I expect them to last more than 3 years. Compare this to my 10 year old Bosch appliance for which I also had repair this week. The cost of the repair is $35 plus labour and the dishwasher is as good as new. Getting through to WHIRLPOOL support was impossible, and I will not create a profile on Facebook to do so. I will also NEVER again purchase a WHIRLPOOL product. Buy scheiss, buy twice. Lesson learned.
