The rest of the real world think their Whirlpool refrigerator is junk and they'd be right for the reasons stated: Lots of noise, ice dispenser problems, door unbalanced. Whirlpool don't seem interested in these issues...

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sandman6472 from Poor Build Quality Already have had to have the door handles tightened and I bought this fridge in mid May! Horrible design actually. Also, the bottom door hinges are not finished and one sees white wires, makes it look cheap. At least they could've put end caps to cover these wires and make it look more finished. Small issues I know, but these things shouldn't be happening in a brand new fridge! We have other Whirlpool appliances and this is the first one that has niggling issues in the first few months. Customer service was a joke, no back-up and being told I'd have to pay to have a 2 month old fridge fixed just blew my mind! I have a service for the house and they came out and fixed both loose door handles. Something Whirlpool should've covered, shame on you Whirlpool!!! Stand behind your products!!

Last week, noticed the handle for the freezer door was loose on the bottom where the delivery tech screwed it in with his drill. Haven't even had the fridge 3 months and it's handle is loose already? What kind of workmanship is this is this?? Totally unacceptable and when I called, told me if the tech came out, it would cost me $98 for a service call. On a unit not even used 90 days Whirlpool wants to pull this nonsense? No thank you. Plan on writing to Whirlpool and letting as many folks I know not to buy cheap Whirlpool refrigerators. This is total garbage if you ask me, really stinks!! Already own a Whirlpool dishwasher, washer and dryer and they have been great. Our 31 year old GE fridge died so when looking for a new one, went straight to Whirlpool and bought it at Lowe's. Little did I know how poorly this new fridge is made of. Am so angry right now I, well, am so darn angry!!! All I can say is, "Whirlpool, you suck"!!!

Bought this model about two weeks ago after a "better" model we bought was back-ordered for over 6 weeks and we finally gave up and got a refund and bought this one. It's definitely lesser quality, but was also $300 cheaper than our original choice. Major complaint, like other have pointed out, is the water dispenser design and most recently, the ice maker keeps freezing up to the point that it will not dispense ice. The ice bin is full but the dispenser keeps building up frost and then won't budge. Hate to go through the hassle but I think this one is going back!!!
